Mike Biggerstaff will not take West Caldwell Job!

    At last night's basketball game I spoke to one of the assistant principals at WC and he told me that Mike Biggerstaff will not be taking the job because the school system could not pay him anything close to what he was making at East Burke. Sorry guys, but the reunification/homecoming of BIGGY is a no go.

    On a sad note, I say shame on you BIGGY! I thought this was supposed to be about the kids. I guess when you come right down to it he's just another ***** who's out to earn a buck like the rest of the gamewell elite---------all three of them. Hey, since gamewell is so inclined to desire former coaches maybe they can get Buzz Simms back. If not, maybe some of the genius community members can coach the team. After all, they are self proclaimed experts.

    Good riddance.

    Another interesting page in the story of as Gamewell turns. Didn't some other people get on here and say the same thing? Good luck to the Warriors as they continue to look for a coach.

    You are so full of sh**!, What asst. principle did you speak with??? I was told he was coming back and I was told this by someone in the WC administration and also I have spoken to a member of Coach Biggs family and a close family member at that and biggs is coming home... As for you hulkiewho, stay away from WC, we dont need or want you around here and you only get on these message boards to spread lies and cause trouble...
    Biggerstaff was at WC last thursday and all that is left is for the school to petition the school board to let administrators coach as they can in Burke county and after thats approved and it will be approved then it will be announced that the new coach of the West caldwell warriors will be Mike Biggerstaff

    Hulkie take your lies with you and go back to Florida!

    thats good news only if the board approves which i hope they do! Personally, administration personal qualified to coach should bbe allowed. Alot of outstanding administators, both present and future ones were great players, obiviously good leaders, experienced and in most cases highly qualified, to coach and lead HS sport teams. IMO

    smashmouth doesnt like personal attacks.........Either, so bear with it or Ignore till he gets home. We, as i am sure you do, enjoying hearing about school hiring and firing, but not attacks and stabs on individuals, players or teams!

    I heard the school board will aproove it this time, the last time the entire community stormed the monday night school board meeting and practically forced the board to change their mind and they did but it was too late and Biggerstaff had done made up his mind after he was pissed off .... This happened in 1987

    darn...........tookem long enough to storm a board meeting.

    My understanding is that alot of school boards have this type of restrictions on their administrators.

    what I was saying was in 1987 which was the last year Mike Biggerstaff was at WC he had studied and became assistant principle at WC and then the school board said he could not coach and be a part of office administration and the following school board meeting the community stormed in in complaint and then the board ok'd it but already pissed coach Big off and thats when he resigned and went into private business that he was in for nearly 14 years before returning to coaching....

    Football is a real low priority for our school board here and thats one reason why caldwell county can't get quality coaches but still the community has to be blamed because these guys are elected officials

    This just in! Instead of Mike Biggerstaff as the new head coach at WC the administration has elected to hire Mrs. Biggerstaff in his place. I think this is a great decision. It's about time that women have the opportunity to coach high school football. My sources say that the announcement will be made on Friday.
