Underclassmen/Unsigned Seniors Showcase

For those of you traveling to this event in Wilmington next weekend (particularly from the southern tier of NC), there is an important item to keep in your mind.

NASCAR is running at Rockingham....... US 74 MIGHT NOT be your best option as a travel route.

 

I don't think there is a bad time to be seen! This is very valuable to any senior who has not committed. The recruiting season is only half over. To all attending-bring your best stuff. Be on your game. This may be the first time your are being seen-make a good impression. If not the first time make a better showing than the last!

 

For the un-signed seniors. Though a lot of pitchers (and quite a few catchers) have verbally committed, signings will continue all spring. Most position players commit then. The smaller colleges do most of their signings in the spring time also.

It's about increasing your options. It also lets the college coaches know you want to play college ball.

For the rising juniors. Even if you played JV ball last year as a sophomore, this is an opportunity to get on someone's list of players to follow-up on. At least half of the players there won't have varsity experience yet.

Young players (sophs) need showcase experience to get over the jitters also. You'll find out that they perform better each subsequent showcase after the first.

It's a very good place to start since they won't be playing head-to-head against seniors.
