Curve congratulations on being a Finalist at this event. You have a great team and classy parents. We were really hoping you would pull it out against those Hurricanes today.

    Sincerely,

Tony Gunter, Head Coach - Xtreme Heat 99

Thank you for the compliment. We enjoyed playing your team as well. I actually spoke to two of your parents before our game and they were telling me how your game had gone with the Hurricanes and that they were rude and yelling at your players. We got a huge taste of that during our game. It seems their coach is not used to losing and did not like the fact that we run ruled them the first time so she made sure she was extra obnoxious and got her parents involved even before the game started. You know it is bad when one of their own parents walks to our side and asks if he could stand with us because they were being so loud and obnoxious that it was even getting on his nerves. It's all good though because they know they were lucky. I'm sure we will see them again. Just a little disappointing because they were no where near as good as any of the teams from Georgia that we have played this year. Would like to invite them to come on up next year to the Carrollton Classic in Georgia around April. It would be a nice surprise for them!! Good luck to you and your team in the upcoming season!

Yea they were actually heckling our players. One of my coaches went over and stood on their side after our catcher told us what they were saying and it stopped but it's pretty sad to see such a lack of class from a storied organization like the Hurricanes.

Enough on that though. Good luck next season! I think our experience in Myrtle Beach was very positive so I'm sure we may consider coming back next year. We are moving to a different org so if you see us it will no longer be Xtreme Heat 99, but Ohio Glory 99 Navy. Long story about why the move after three years, but it will be all the same players and coaches, different colors.

    Goldcoast Hurricane 12U coach...

I was unaware of any of this. We are a great Organization which travels all around this great country collecting championships. I would have expected a coach to congradulate us on our run rule victory and winning another national Title oppossed to bashing us. I am the coach calling signs on bucket and was very into each game. Had I heard anything other than parents cheering I would have approached our group of parents and spectatators. On the other hand, I heard a lot of noise comming from your side of the field. Please feel free to respond

    Oh yea

You have an open invitation to play in NC anytime or any where else we play.
We enjoy playing anyone that shows up in the other dugout it
doesn't matter to us we just want to play ball.I did have one problem
for 700 bucks to enter this tournament they could have
at least bought good balls.I have better practice balls than
TCS had that were game balls.i believe our parents were getting on the umps
not directing it towards your team. They did try and end the game an inning early. We had our chances and didn't capitalize when we had the chance.Congrats I take nothing away from your team they were the best team on Sunday but not the best team in the whole tournament.
