Post how some games turned out the way they did..

Alexander & West Iredell was a sloppy game once again in the beginning. Alexander had 3 or 4 turnovers in the 1st half that West Iredell failed to take advantage of. The tide turned with about 2 minutes left in the 1st half. Kinnaird was back to punt away for AC around midfield and W. Iredell's defender hit his leg as he kicked and was called for roughing the kicker. AC went down and with 22 seconds Kinnaird hit #15 Zach Bumgarner for a pass over the middle and AC went in at the half ahead 7-0.

Halftime is what we call prayer meeting time... That maybe came back to help us soon.. You'll see why.

2nd half kick went to AC and talk about a prayer.. Kinnaird had a tough snap to handle and threw it up to the end zone and Gus smith ran and dove and caught it in the end zone. Later in the 3rd W. Iredell touched a punt and AC recovered. They scored and made it 21-0. AC scored once again and made it 28-0 before W. Iredell had a chance to score and fumbled on the 1. W. Iredell did manage to tackle AC for a safety and then scored a TD and 2 pt conversion to make it 28-10. W. Iredell just made too many mental mistakes that kept them from capitalizing on error after error by Alexander.

Ragsdale loses it's first regular season game in almost three years at Dudley tonight.

12-0 sounds a lot closer than the game really was. Ragsdale was pretty anemic on offense tonight. Of course a lot of that had to do with the Dudley defense. Once again they are big and fast. It's hard to find a gap on them that doesn't close quickly. First time seeing the Tigers and they are small across the offensive line. Caleb Cates was the best returning offensive lineman but he's a DE now. A pretty good one too. Made tons of plays tonight including tipping a pass that was intercepted by Robert Pompey in the second half.

Two big plays killed Ragsdale tonight - Micah Gaylord took one straight up the middle 46 yards at the end of the first quarter and Demtrious Dick the QB busted one 86 yards in the third. Dudley moved the ball on other drives but penalties and a pretty tough Ragsdale D kept them from scoring any more.

Ragsdale just couldn't get anything going tonight. They got inside the 30 three times but a tipped interception cost them once. Heavner looked off tonight. He had one nice pass for about 40 yards in the fourth quarter but that was about it. D-onovan Smith had a couple decent runs in the second half but 9 yards was biggest gain of the night.

Nice crowd there again tonight. Just can't beat those guys at Tarpley Stadium. Hopefully the offense can get on track next week against Western.
