...I've bought a bunch of $250 bats and I remember buying one of those chalk gigs to line the rec ball field at least 10 years ago, $200.

This thread is not a saturday yard sale, but I do wonder just what new and/or used equipment might cost this day and age.

Thanks for respecting "not posting what you have to sell".

I would bet Fish that used, or even older, bats wouldn't bring that much. Everyone seems to like to get the latest brand new models... even though they cost too much!

What you may look at is donating the stuff to a high school that is trying to build a program. That way you could do a tax write off (you set the value!) and some kids could get some much needed equipment.

...thanks for the reply. you're right GMan, donating things to the schools is definitely a good way to go.
Actually, I don't have any used equipment because I give it away.

I remember when my Dad built a pitching/hitting cage and the net hovering all over that bad boy cost $500! That was alot of money back then, its alot of money to me right now. I can't help but wonder what that same net would cost now.

Fish, had a friend years ago that came over to the house with his high school aged son to look at one of those "Griffey Swing Trainers" I had bought for my son, who was a little guy at the time.

After looking it over he said "Hell, I can build one of these things!" They went home after getting a truck load of PVC pipe and glue and proceeded to do just that.

After it was completed, his son (Who was a BIG boy) stepped up to give it a try. On his second swing he was a little off and the thing exploded! They still find bits of PVC in the woods around their house.
