Weather Forecast??

I went to sleep last night expecting to wake up to cloudy skies and rain. Sun has been shining behind some clouds but it's not rain clouds. Anybody have an idea bout what the forecast is supposed to be around Hickory Catawba area for game time tonight??

 

the fact that the sun has been shining all days leads to a more unstable atmosphere. Therefor I'm thinking we'll have at least scattered showers across Western North Carolina after 3 pm. The only thing I've noticed is a lack of vertical cloud development which is interesting...if there are still a lack of storms by 4pm then I think most everyone in the western half of the state will be in good shape.

 

Watauga High Football tonight at Ashe county has been postponed due to heavy rain. It will be played Monday night at 7:00 PM.

 

Low pressure gasses

bigdan, How is the vertical cloud development look for fridays game in the Hickory area. My concern is when the upper High pressure meets with the low pressure. This will cause unstable air to pass.

 

Tomorrow looks slightly unstable...as of now I would guess a 30 percent chance of getting wet at game time.

 

remind me not to sit in the press box with bigdan if the situation ever presents itself.

 

Raining now..in a few hrs?

Whats it supposed to be line in 3-4 hours around the Hickory area? It started raining here a little bit ago and I heard that it was raining pretty heavily around Hildebran area and things, but what's the forecast looking like around game time between 6-10 tonight?
