I watch my DD pitch against Dani . . .

. . . Sunday before last in what the Europeans call a "friendship game" in Mannheim Germany. She no-hit the Meredith's Tornados thru six innings despite only arriving from the states the day before. The Sharx team brought her over specifically for the European Cup. Dani's 'Austrian' team features six American starters from schools like UTEP, UGA, OSU and UAB. The only other team in Europe that can afford such a lineup are the Italian's the Sharx beat today and are likely to meet again Saturday in the championship game.
    The general tournament site is:

....Nice!!!! Danielle is awesome. I saw 2 kids grow up hitting everyday and damn near never K'd during the season, TB, and HS, well those same two were 0 for 6 with 6 K's in the ACC tournament facing Danielle.
My DD was one of the two, and even the fishman didn't freak out because DS is one of the best pitchers I've seen. And that includes Monica Abbott.
Also DS can rock at the plate.
Coach P at UNC hit the lottery when she signed this kid.
Congrats to DS and I wish her the best.

Spaulding and Norris are lighting it up this summer. Lisa Norris is in the semi finals for pro league with Akron Racers and is there ace. She is on fire-defeated Cat Ost. yesterday. Those two are representing our state well. UNC will miss Norris but hopefully Spaulding will get more run production beind her next season and UNC can get over the hump. They are right on the edge. They have some more great pitching coming in their 2010 class. That coaching staff knows how to pick talent. Props to the carolina girls.

    Sharx Win European Cup

Dani Spaulding voted 'Best Pitcher' and 'MVP'. Oh, and she lead the team with a .409 batting average. Pretty nice two week trip for likely ACC pre-season pick as ACC POY.

Ironically, the UNC staff recruited Dani as a hitter first.

2009 class has some big time speed and will make it difficult on defenses, they also can help UNC defense! Two N. Davidson kids will be forces. Also, look at 2008 class that has a year under their belt and will be fighting for a starting spot. I believe there was a 2009 pitcher as well.

Congratlation Danielle Spaulding........ Loosing Norris will be tough. But the Heels have some good replacements. They have a 5th yr Sr pitcher coming back Amber Johnson who had ACL and knee rehab and now back to full strength. She had while playing hurt a 68-70 mph fast ball with good off speed junk. She will be part time starter and full time relief. Anybody remember Constance Orr? She will be #2 starter. I heard that the Heels pickup a Fr pitcher from FLA that is in the high 60's heat. So the Heels on the mound should be in good shape. Excellent Fr class coming in. This could be the year they make the next big step. The same way Fla and Tenn did.......

Whoa, fishdude! Is there nothing sacred? We don't refer to Jesus as JC. We don't refer to Candrea as Coach C. We don't refer to Coach Papa as Coach P! And we definitely aren't going to refer to Beverly as Coach BS.

Go forth and sin no more, f man!

...Hey phreak, I know you're just joking, but I'm a little sensitive when Our Saviour Jesus Christ is used as fodder, PERIOD.

What?!?! Definitely not "fodder"; used as a reference to make a little humor. I have faith He would be amused. My Saviour, also!
