    Sudden Impact is out

    Beat Omaha Finesse 9-8 last night, but lost to Las Vegas Blast 1-2.
    Through all the heat they played hard to the end. Great season!

    Lady Blues advance to 4th round of Championship Bracket play.

    Beat Indiana Magic this morning 10 - 1. Ashley Bone with complete game 3 hitter. Allie Cashion with 2 HR's and Allie Blake with a HR in this game. Bats continue to perform well, as everyone is contributing with key and timely hits.

    Next game is tonight at 6pm (Vegas Time) against either the Utah Shock or Lake County Liberty (IL).

    ....Hey Hurdle, just saying this here and with respect, if a kid is 18 on Jan. 1 of 2009, then they still meet the 18u age gig right?
    If the teams in Texas or Cal. etc. are bringing in a couple of kids to boost the line up a smidge here or there then why should we in NC not do the samething?
    Look there are no promises made when a kid who played her 1st year in college walks up to the plate. She damn sure has more to lose than to gain. Seems to me that everyone is looking at "college" kid to break bad and make all of the opponents fail in comparison.
    Trust me, one year in college does have a huge impact on a kids game but these 18U teams are playing at the highest level. A 16 yr old with a 68 mph riseball is every bit as hard to hit as an 18 yr. old throwing the same pitch.


    BUT, I will say this, DAMN!!!!, Ally Blake, UNC is knocking the cover off the ball!
    When a kid in the ACC, faces the pitchers in that conference, they get stronger.

    I think its great!

    Lady Blues remain undefeated in Championship Bracket play by defeating Shock (Utah) 11 - 0. (5 innings). Bats remain hot. Lots of hits again in this game.

    HR's in this game from Erin Foster, Allie Cashion, and Constance Orr.

    Lady Blues play Team Demarini (FL.) @ 8:00 am Vegas time on Saturday. There are currently 8 teams remaining that are undefeated out of 140.

    The Lady Blues lost to Demarini 5 - 0. I heard they were winning their next game 7 - 2, but I have not heard a final on it yet.
