I believe there were 14 total teams in Wilmington. Georgia had the most teams there with 6.

There were 2 ASA 14U A National berths awarded.

    1. GA Pistols
    2. GA Fire
    3. SC Elite
    4. East Cobb Bullets
    5. Carolina Cardinals
(we were 1 out away from playing in the finals of the winners bracket, but coaches, (my) decision not to walk a hitter got us!

However I am very proud of our players. We showed we could compete with and beat some of the better teams in our region. Now we are off to Sterling, VA for the ASA Eastern Nationals!

Yes, as it was given to me by the tournament director late Sunday.

The top 2 teams qualified for the 14U ASA "A" Nationals in Marietta. The other teams are heading off to play in another qualifier or going to play in the ASA Eastern Nationals in Sterling, VA.

Several of the GA teams in this tournament had just played in the Hall of Fame Qualifier in Oklahoma City the previous weekend.

    Small correction

Carolina Elite on #3 There is a SC Elite in SC. I thought the JC Clippers were around that #5 spot as well. Finishising third one run away from qualifying doesn't feel good either. Good tournament but sure wish mother nature wasn't so bad to us Friday and Saturday. We will head to Chattanooga and try again in a couple of weeks. Good luck in VA.
