You all make allot of great points, but one good important thing to remember is life is always a two way street. In order for any DD to make a differnce, be a leader, have positive karma, etc., people have to be receptive to it. Once a person realizes they can not make a situation work there is no shame in moving on to play somewhere else where time and effort are appreciated, or going to do something else all together. If it's not fun something is wrong. JMHO.

Hopefully you'll play! And try to make it as good for everyone as you can; including your coach. Never can tell; might end up being a positive. Focus on helping her; she might not know any better.

    Great advice!

As the leader and example setter, you will be surprised at the influence you will have with your teammates...... and your coach. People often mention life lessons through sports and sometimes it falls on deaf ears, because it's not explained what that life lesson is and how it's beneficial.

To be able to overcome bad coaching and to continue to find ways to motivate your teammates will serve you well when you move into your adult life.

    Good

Great advise! Life is full of challenges and obstacles that build character and provide opportunity to build and grow, or to destroy and digress, choices we make have lasting affects on our lives. Brave you are the MAN:REDanceFdans002HL:

You're exactly right, LBlues. Every obstacle you face in sports you will face in the real world. If you learn to quit when times are tough in sports...guess what will happen when it really means something.

As an often quoted realism: "Sports doesn't build character; it reveals it"
