    this scenario happened this past weekend in my son's TB tourney:

    player was asked to sac to advance the runner to second but the catcher threw the ball down into the RF corner. Its not a SAC because he wasnt thrown out. However if you score it E2 he gets an offical AB and an "ofer" in that AB... despite it not being his fault that the catcher failed to make the play.

    ???

    It is scored based on the intent of the play....
