    ....great job kiddo!
I remember, at the beach, staying with us for an extra day when you cried all night and all the the way to Kinston the next day when you missed your mama.
I also remember how many times you've made a winning contribution to ALL the teams that you've played with.
Hey folks, Nicky is one of, if not the best player ever to come out of NC.
Certainly we're all proud of the other kids that are deserving on the list of the "best in NC", but this thread is to honor your success.
Oh BTW, the beach part, Nicky could scream bloody murder with tears going everywhere......and she brings that same emotion onto the field everyday! Class player with class parents.
    SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Knock 'em out Nicky!

Very deserving, Nicky is a great kid. Of course lets not forget the driving force that made her what she has become, Dad. Chuck, I know you are very happy and proud.:hurray:

You'll have to wait on Nikki since . . .

JSU advanced to the super regionals. Their win over UT was an upset to those some but not to me. JSU has better hitting and pitching (a 24 year-old who can really bring it). UT is a troubled team that seems to waiting on Monica Abbott to emerge from the cornfield!

    JSU can make some noise....

I'm sure they have Bama's attention... They took them to 3 games last year in the super regional...

Tell your DD congrats on a great career at JMU.....She did herself, her family and state proud...

    Prior & JSU

Thanks Charlie! Meredith's dream since playing tee-ball was to play in the NCAA's and she got there. She went out on high note throwing her first collegiate no-hitter on senior day and winning two games in the CAA tournament including a one-hit shutout over seven-time defending champion Hofstra. She's flying to Germany tomorrow to pitch for the Mannheim Tornados Club in the european league this summer. It's a reward for all those summers spent in Florence (SC not Italy!).[IMG]

JSU has a tough task versus 'Bama but they should compete. Nicky is only one of a host of good hitters on the team. They also have two accomplished pitchers and seem to have a real 'can do' attitude. They were the best team JMU played this season and clearly better than Tennessee.

I could write a lot about my impressions of the UT program [IMG]but it would probably upset some readers. I will say that I'm not sure the school and fans are getting their money's worth as they have the largest softball budget America.
