GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!!!

As we all know, High Schools' seasons are getting ready to close and tournament ball is approaching full throttle. Sometimes as coaches and parents, we get away from why our girls participate in TB (travel ball). Travel Ball consist of numerous sacrifices, countless hours ,days and weekends on 100+ degree ball fields in the summers, not to mention the 19 degree ball fields in the winters(Myrtle Beach , Nov.18th-19th , 2008...Yeah , we were there..lol!) . While other girls are attending parties, outings at the lake, weekend activities -Our girls are working on hitting the outside pitch, turning two ect. Last weekend both the Hit-N-Run teams("95" & "96") put our bats down and gloves away - just to have some fun and work on teamwork and leadership skills...We participated on a ropes course designed and instructed by Bucky Thornburg. Our girls had a tremendous time -just an absolute blast! Well it got me thinking- it's been said on TBR and on all the ball fields "IT'S ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN". We all know as coaches and parents, girls always play better when they're having fun!

I'd like thank Bucky Thornburg for working with all my girls last Saturday on the "LEGENDARY ROPES COURSE"-He done a terrific job and I've had nothing but compliments on his instructional methods from all the parents.
