Belmont Abbey College has surged to first place in the Conference Carolinas. They now have an overall record of 20 - 16 and conference record of 11 - 5.
    Recent games included:
    UNC Charlotte (D1) - BAC lost 13 - 10
Anderson - BAC swept all 3 games in winning this series
    Augusta St. - BAC won 8 - 2
    Mount Olive - BAC won series 2 games to 1 (4-3, 6-7, 6-4)
Aside from the D1 bats of the UNC 49ers, the Belmont Abbey pitching staff has been doing an outstanding job, combined with timely hitting and a tenacious team attitude.

    Carolina Conference Regular Season Champs

Belmont Abbey has clinched the regular season championship in the Carolinas Conference and will be the #1 seed heading into the tournament. The coaching staff has done an awesome job with this group. The team is scrappy and the coaching staff gets the best out of its players.

Great Job and good luck in the tourney.

Belmont Abbey eliminated Barton and Anderson is successive games yesteday to advance to the championship.

    Erskine vs. Belmont Abbey.

Erskine needs to win only 1 game since they are from the winners bracket. Belmont Abbey must beat them twice.

    Belmont Abbey wins

Belmont Abbey beat Erskine twice today 10 - 5 and 7 - 2 to win the conference tournament championship. Belmont Abbey fought through the losers bracket by winning 5 straight games to capture the tournament trophy.

This gives BAC an automatic bid to the DII regional playoffs.

    Kudos to the team!!
