I hear Grimsley and Northwest will be contenders again this year. What about E. Forsyth? Who are the players to watch?

I'm thinking that it is Northwest's conference to lose. East will be very strong again with a majority of the team returning as juniors and the addition of Tyler Kloc (transfer from South Stokes) should help the Eagles pitching staff and put some power in the middle of the order. Shane Dickerson and Kloc will be the main guys on the mound and Evan Oreinstein should be the number 3. Don't forget about Luke Dunlap who will rome around in centerfield after having a great freshman year where he was all-conference. As for Northwest, Robbie McIntosh (UNC-Asheville) will carry a big load pitching wise for the Vikings. The loss of Logan Self will hurt Northwest pitching wise but I still think Northwest is the strongest team in the Metro. Grimsley will be paced by George Carter (UNC), Gabe Dimock, and Kevin Rose. Grimsley will be under a new coach and I think that on any given night these three teams could beat each other. Metro 4-A will be exciting in its last year.

    Predictions
    1. East Forsyth 9-1
    2. Northwest Guilford 8-2
    3. Grimsley 8-2
    4. Page 4-6
    5. High Point Central 2-8
    6. Smith 0-10

I agree that NW is the team to beat. East will be strong. I see Grimsley a distant 3rd, they have no depth. Grimsley will be fortunate to be 7-3.
