Individual College Exposure Opportunity

Sorry for just now finding this site and getting this information posted. Thanks to Rodney with Lady Blues for sending it to me.

The next Southern Star "All-Star" Showcase for girls fastpitch softball will be held January 17-18, 2009 at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. This is an opportunity for individuals to sign up and to play in front of college coaches. Each girl is assigned a team and plays 4 games. Many girls from NC have played in the previous events.

Deadline to enter is November 15, 2008. This is for any girl presently enrolled in high school. If you play basketball on Saturday, you can sign up to play on a Sunday only team.

A list of colleges that have attended in the past is listed on the home page of the web site. Several schools from NC have attended the past ones and are planning to attend in January.

The Southern Star hosts both team and all-star showcases. The next team event will be in June in Savannah, GA. Information is on the web site. If you are looking for ASA Tournaments in the spring and summer, you can go to www.southgeorgiasoftball.com for more information on that too.
