    Carolina Comets 16u

    It was a GREAT Saturday for the 16u it was their 1st tournament as a team.
    Comets made it to the Championship to play the Blast and boy was that a GREAT game on both sides. Way to go Carolina Comets 16u you all did Great.
    Pitchers K.P, Lindsey, Hope and Katie/ Catchers Myra, Hope I am so proud of you for stepping up to the plate when you needed to.

    Blast you did Great and had alot of class all the way around. Sportsmanship means alot.

    Went extra innings blast 3 Comets 2

    Great Job 16u Carolina Comets

    I was really impressed by our newest Comets team. As the day progressed this team progressed as well. Ashley, Sharon, Paul and others really did a great job. The girls played their hearts out to try and win their 1st tournament as a team. Congratulations to the Carolina Comets for their 2nd place finish. Congratulations to the Blast for their tournament win.

    There were several injuries at the park today including one of our girls. I hope those that were injured are ok and recover soon.

    I enjoyed the day chatting with friends from the Southern Shock, Carolina Hit 'N run, Alexander Gold, and others. Happy Holidays to everyone.

    The Carolina Blast would like to say thanks for the kind words from F-pitch and CometFan!! That was a great game Saturday night. Both teams were fighting through some injuries, the cold, and fatigue. The young ladies on both teams really put forth an incredible amount of effort. That new Comet team is going to be a force to be reckoned with next year. You've got a great group there!! As a coach I would rather have a close game like that, where it goes down to the wire and either team can win, than to have a blowout. Congratulations Comets on a very successful tournament. You are all a class act!! It was great to hear the young lady apologize after that unavoidable collision at second. It says a lot about the character of a player to hear that unsolicited concern. That will take you further in life than any college scholarship.

    I hope the young ladies that were injured this weekend are okay. I think there were a couple of knees, a possible broken arm and a horrific shot to a pitcher's face. The great thing was that I saw her up and walking around after the incident and she appeared to be in good spirits.

    Carolina Comets Teal 14u win their 1st 14u tournament in Huntersville (Final Fall Freeze).
    Comets 3 & Outlaws Black 0 (Pool Play)
    Comets 8 & Diamond Stars 5 (Bracket Play)
    Comets 8 & Outlaws Black 1 (Bracket Play)
    Comets 4 & Queen City Rockers 3 (Winners Bracket)
    Comets 2 & Queen City Rockers 3 (Championship Game)
    Comets 10 & Queen City Rockers 0 IF Championship Game)

    Comets have one more tournament. Next weekend in
    Winston Salem.
