WRAL has long been known for Football Friday, a thirty-minute high school football highlight show, but things are changing for the 2008 season. WRAL.com and 99.9 FM The Fan are teaming up to produce High School OT. High School OT will bring high school sports coverage to the Triangle in a form that has never been seen before. We will have enhanced game day coverage with a weekly Game of the Week; a new and improved web site with stats, schedules, and numerous stories; exclusive video appearing on the Internet; interviews with players and coaches; and much, much more! The new web site, http://www.highschoolot.com/, will launch on Monday Aug. 18, the first week of high school football games across the state. On Friday, Aug. 22, High School OT will be live from Trojan Stadium on the campus of Garner High School for the first Game of the Week.

High School OT will broadcast live from 3PM-7PM on 99.9 FM The Fan from Trojan Stadium with The Insiders Scott Jackson and Mark Thomas. Fans and students are invited to join us as early as they'd like. The all new VYPE High School Sports Magazine will be joining the OT staff and 99.9 FM The Fan with FREE copies of the latest high school sports magazine covering the Triangle. During the week on High School OT, you will be able to get predictions and analysis from the OT staff, a computer simulation of the game, interviews with players and coaches, and more. After the game, we'll have reaction, interviews, photos, video, and complete statistics. Football Friday will kick off at the usual 11:30PM time slot after the evening news. Join us Aug. 18 as we launch the Triangle's best high school sports website, and Aug. 22 for the first big game of the season - Millbrook #3 in the pre-season rankings vs The Trojans ranked #6 at beautiful Trojan Stadium. High School OT will cover high school sports like no one else can!!
