Tyler Tewell 2009 Butler HS verbally committed to Appalachian State where he will attend school and play baseball for the Mountaineers following his senior year at Butler HS. Tyler is a member of the South Charlotte Panthers summer/fall program.

    Congrats to the Tewells.

I've known Tyler since he was 8 years old and by the time he was 13 I always knew he would make the next level. There are very few who work harder or love the game as much as this young man. Dreams do come true and Tyler you deserve it!

Oh yeah I almost forgot! Congratulations Glenda and little brother Jesse! (You too Nick!)

P.S. I'm sure Coach Pollard will be looking for a couple of "cycles" a year from you like this past season!

Well done, Tyler! Dawgswood is absolutely correct - no one works harder or loves the game more. Wonderful news for a great family.

    Nice Class

App is compiling a nice class for 2009. Future looks bright for a lot of NC programs.

Wow...I've been waiting for this one. Congratulations Tyler! This signing adds validity to the fact that hard work pays off. Nobody outworks Tyler Tewell. The intensity and demand for perfection sets him apart from others.

Congratulations to the whole Tewell family. They are special people!

Okay, here is what I'm wondering. Are they going to change the name for App's baseball program to App State University at Charlotte?

    Congrats

I have never had the pleasure of meeting Tyler but I have seen him play a few times. I got another chance this weekend. Once he was catching and the other time the dh. He is a tremendous player and a great addition to ASU's program. I got the chance to talk to Coach Boykin and they sure are excited about getting Tyler. Congrats Tyler and good luck your senior year at Butler HS.

    Congrats

I've had the pleasure of knowing Tyler since he was 11 years old and I couldn't be more excited for him. He will be a terrific addition to their program. Nick, ..... at least you won't have to far to drive to see Tyler play!
    Congrats to both!

    Congrats Tyler

Skills, attitude, hustle, and knowledge have come together in this young man. The time I have been around Tyler he has constantly been striving to become a better player. App. could not have chosen a better future for themselves behind the plate in this student-athelete. Congrats also go to Nick and Glenda. Oh! Yea! ...... Jessie make him keep his head on straight...... I know your the little brother now but I think you'll be kick'n his butt in a couple of years.
