    Sorry guys, trying to get an update to you about last weekend but haven't been able to find time. North Carolina well represented to bad the colleges weren't. NC teams there, the Cardinals 16U, Wayne County Hurricanes, Carolina Curve, Team TFS, and the Carolina Flames 16U.

    Cardinals results:
    Pool play- defeated Florida Intensity 3-1
    lost to Wayne County Hurricanes
    lost to Georgia Rockers 2-1 on a 2 run HR in bottom of 6th
    lost to Carolina Fire SC 8-1 Morgan Wyatt goes yard
    defeated Carolina Crew SC 6-2
    Bracket play:defeated Tri-State Thunder MD for life of me can't remember score (old age is bad)
    defeated Carolina Starz SC 10-0 Michela Calloway goes deep
    defeated Florida Intensity 6-2
    lost to Carolina Curve 6-4 in semi's Morgan Wyatt hits second of the weekend on her 16th birthday-happy b'day Mo

    don't know if Curve won or not-maybe one of them can update us.
    funny thing 6 of final 8 and 3 of final 4 all from our pool.

    teams from all over 2 from Tenn., 2 from VA, 2 from GA, 3 from FLA, 5 from NC, 7 from SC, 1 from MD, 1 from Penn, and 1 from Canada
    North Carolina places 4 in the top 8 w/ the Curve, the Cardinals, Wayne County, and the Flames

    The Curve defeated the Georgia Rockers 11-3 in championship game. NC teams did very well.

    "The Carolina Curve competed this past weekend in the 16U Hot Times and brought home the championship. The Curve won all nine of their games that started on Thursday morning at 9AM and ended with the championship game on Sunday at 1PM against the Georgia Rockers. Both the Rockers and Curve were undefeated going into the championship. . . Curve won 11-3. Curve played SC Bandits Cook, Southside Sting (VA), Carolina Starz, Diamond Devils (TN), Plant City Sizzlers (FL), The Zone (Canada), Hurricanes, Carolina Cardinals and Georgia Rockers.
    Congrats to all the Curve girls!"

    and I say.....

    Best game of the tournament was with the Cardinals. Good job girls, the Home run was a "no doubter" the minute it left the bat - what a great BDay present (I also watched the game where she hit the first one out) . Carolina Curve went on to win it. All the Carolina teams did well. that should say something to all the coaches out there about the quality of NC Players in general.
    Great format for tournament, got to spend alot of time visiting Charleston (although they kicked me out of the Ghost Walk, something about Casper the Friendly Ghost), see the battery, College of Charleston, go to the beach, girls had a lot of fun - and scored a bunch of runs in the games....

    Now, lets root for the teams in Colorado representing NC.!!!
