    The NC Sun Devils would like to announce that short stop, Amanda McArthur a 2009 grad from Hickory Grove Christian School has verbally committed to Coach David Williams and the Mars Hill Lions.

    Amanda is a great young lady, amazing softball player and is heading to a very good program that just continues to load up with some excellent players from NC.

    I'm very happy for Amanda and her family as well as Coach Williams.. Congrats and good luck!!:clapclap::clapclap:

    Yep-- Guru Taught Her ---Well Not Everything !!

    A lot of people don't know that Amanda use to be a pitcher that could flat bring it at 12U..she scould hit 60 mph..just ask Pete @ Grand Slam. She injured me back in 2005 with a drop curve,and it took my leg (3) months to heal. I really enjoyed coaching her when she was young,and yes she is a tough out with a cannon arm... her ole man is little wirey though, mom is great !! Good Luck Amanda, you will definitely make anybody a great player !!!

    great player and fine young lady. i have had the opportunity to coach her at the middle and high school level. she is a sweetheart and truly loves the game. not so sure about her old man, just kidding, mike has been there with hickory grove along time and is an outstanding guy. congratulations amanda and family if any ball player deserves this you do. btw send me a schedule and i will see you on the field........scott
