Ardrey Kell – Greenville Rose Match-up

The reason for no freshmen or sophomores on the line up...

Rose has a true Freshman team. They play the area's 2A JV teams, a few 3A JV teams and DH Conley's Freshman team. The team last year went undefeated (this years JV squad) and the current Jr class (as freshmen)lost once...to CB Aycocks JV team.

Sophomores play JV. Very few in the history of Rose have played Varsity. One recent exception on a call up is the starting short stop.

You pay your dues and when you get the opportunity, be ready to seize it.

RV will always run the best 9 he thinks he has on the field... regardless of Jr or Sr. But after having to bide your time as a Jr in most cases, by the time you are a Senior, you gonna play hard as to not to lose your spot.... cause there's three guys at each position waiting for that chance...

I really like this way of coaching. It breeds character, experience, respect and team building. Sometimes when a position is given to soon there is no appreciation for the journey. Good luck to both teams.

 

I would assume that Rose may be considered a slight favorite (based on "seniority"). With all the hoopla surrounding the talent/depth in the SW4A this will be interesting viewing.
