Corey may be the most underrated player in Charlotte. As a pitcher he comes after you relentlessly. The kid has so much upside: competitive, great stuff, power pitch and great makeup. I am really looking forward to hear what school he decides to go.

I don't know why, but I'm betting The Citadel. So the other schools in the mix, you better hurry. He won't be available long.

I guess I should tell Corey and his family about The Citadel. They may not know.:drummer:

With the lack of pub he gets locally youd never know he's ranked in the top 250 2009's nationally. I'm glad I get to watch him play for the South Charlotte Panthers.

    Thanks guys

Thanks guys for your kind words about Corey. I know he is excited about the South Charlotte Panther's summer schedule. He said that this year at Olympic reminded him of the South Charlotte Panthers, he said "When we got behind this year in a game we knew we were going to come back and get 'em". He is still steaming over the R-S Central loss in the playoffs though, he wanted to get that win over his ole bud Ryan. Braves, I would be tickled pink to see him at The Citidel in 2010, but I think he is leaning elsewhere. Dawgs tell Alex we will be looking forward to seeing more of his this summer so no SPARQ testing at least until the fall. We want to see his Magic on the Mound.

    Catcher's best friend

I know one particular catcher that looks forward to the games that he catches Mr. Roberts. Corey throws hard with a lot of movement, but he's always around the strike zone which makes catching him easy. Corey's quick delivery to the plate keeps the running game in check as well. If Corey is underrated, somebody's not watching. Great family (dad might be a little odd). Not a bad 2nd baseman either. LOL

    Good Luck this summer Corey!

I first saw Corey last summer at East Cobb. He was toeing the rubber for SCP in the 18u title game and throwing extremely well.

I was just kiddin' with ya Chltballfan. Corey will have many options, but The Citadel will definately take that "leaning" out and make him stand straight :bounce:

I'm really excited to see what decision he makes. He is fun to watch

Again we thank you for your praise, and tell TJ thanks, he has really helped Corey. Although TJ is on of the "guys" the players at SCP look up to him.
