Just thinking. You know I do that a lot. I was speaking with a parent the other day. This is one who son (who was on Varsity last year) plays on a very good team (State Championship ????). He has played less than a half a game in innings the whole year (so far). What is the team building? A championship this year and nothing till the next crop of players comes along. With that stated. What teams do you see building for the future? Playing for a championship is a great thing. But, what are you building for the future?. I think that any coach will say that game play is great to build a player. I can see using your starters to play the "big" games. Mix it up in lesser games. What do you think???????

    Playing time

If the kid was picked to play on the team, ie he made the team when he tried out, then didn't the coaches think he could play? Therefore why did he not get very much playing time?
