Kris Richards for West Johnston commits to UNCG

    Kris just committed to the Spartans this weekend. He's had a great season so far with a .463 BA, 35 RBIs & 8HRs. Plays SS and has come in to close numerous times this year...plus they're leading the Greater Neuse 4A. Nice way to close out a senior season! Yep..I'm proud!

    Congrats to Kris---------

    and his family.He is certainly one of the elite shortstops in the 2008 class.Kris has worked hard over the years and is truly a class act on and off the field.They say that when you do things the right way good things happen for you.Kris Richards has done it the right way,he is very deserving of this honor and I know his family is very proud of him.Good luck Kris!!!

    We are proud. The coaching staff is top notch, the facilities are great and the school is one to be proud of. Most of all, he (Kris) seems to be excited about the opportunity to play in-state AND put this whole decision-process behind him. Thanks for the kudos!

    Please pass along my congratulations to Kris. Kris always has been a 'team-first' ballplayer, and I'm glad to see him get such a great opportunity. Tell him I'll be following and pulling for him.
