Just heard from the CAC Banquet and neither Dani Beres, who let the ABBEY in RBI's, extra base hits, and was responsible for about 1/3 of the total production, while hitting well over .300 and Jessica Inman, a three time all-conference catcher and an all-regional player as a freshman, who this year was hitting over .350 and is the all-time leader in games played, hits, steals, throw-out percentage, and almost anything else U want to talk about did not make all-conference! Four other catchers make the two teams! Belmont Abbey as a team did not do well but these two kids excelled and had to be in top ten players in league!
Positive note: Katie Hobbs made second team all-conference after coming off a broken ankle that kept her out for the first half of season. She is one of best defensive outfielder to ever play in CAC or CVAC. She also swings a mean stick!
Congrads to all the kids that made it! No intend to take away from you but just hard to believe Dani and Jess were not worthy.

That's unreal Abbey Fan for those two not to make all conference. Maybe we should find another conf. to support.

    Sick

Old friend, it just makes me sick that those two kids were not selected as they were for sure in top 10-12 kids in league. The two of them plus my daughter, Abby were responsible for almost 2/3 of all runs scored, stolen bases, total bases, and were two, three, and four in put outs. Oh forgot, also had 26 walks!
I have never seen this in my life but my daughter playing left field was second in PO's! Only the first baseman had more! When has that ever happened?:teeth:

Abby is one of the quickest and most accurate outfielders that I have ever watched play. Some of the balls that I seen her run down and make a accurate throw to get the out were amazing. She is a hussler and a great softball player. I am going to miss Abby, Jessica, and all the seniors I've watched for the last four years. I didn't get to see as many games this year as I have in the past due to not being well. I enjoyed the fellowship during the games and hope to see ya soon.
