Strike Out Cancer ..... DUNK THE COACH....

StrikeOut Cancer doubleheader scheduled for April 12th, 2008
First Pitch at 200pm

The American Cancer Society
is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization
dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives,
and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.​

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s
mission is to assist in the professional development of fastpitch softball coaches through educational services
and cooperative efforts with other professional organizations,
while stimulating the growth and promotion of the sport and competition in the highest traditions of athletics.​

On April 12th, 2008, the Peace and Greensboro College
softball teams will compete in a double header to assist in raising needed monies to help fight breast cancer.
First game starts at 2:00 pm, at Wachovia Athletic Park at Peace College. ​

The StrikeOut Cancer
initiative unites the American Cancer Society and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to help raise funds and awareness to fight cancer. ​

The program leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of fastpitch softball coaches nationwide to help increase cancer education and promote healthy living through awareness efforts and fundraising activities.​

I would like to invite all softball fans to an afternoon of softball as these two softball programs compete on the diamond while raising monies and awareness about a life-threatening disease that effects the health of so many of our daughters, wives and mothers.​

Admission is free.
Both teams will wear special uniforms to highlight the day.​

DUNK THE COACH​

Greensboro College and Peace College
will also go head to head in a fund raising competition to raise money for the American Cancer Society.​

What ever school raises the most money,
the winning coach gets to dunk the losing coach.​

Come on down, bring your camera and me a towel.....​

Rumor has it that my girls are sending $$ to Greensboro to make me walk the plank...​

Wow if it was not Senior Day at the Abbey, I would be at your function! Cancer has visited me and it was not fun! U are a BIG MAN and I am glad to call U a friend! Thanks for all the GOOD U do for this state.
