Goodfield Baseball is proud to present the Steve Englishbey Hitting Workshop. Steve is a renowned hitting instructor, and his trips to the East Coast are limited. The hitting workshop will devoted to teaching young hitters to swing a bat in the most bio-mechanically efficient way possible covering three objectives

    1. optimal swing quickness
    2. efficient swing path
    3. maximum bat speed

Elite hitters at the highest levels of competition in both baseball and softball have somehow learned to do these things when they swing a bat. But just exactly what are they doing to achieve them? Come hear Steve Englishbey discuss this and more, with a closing Q&A!

    Go if you can

I was introduced to his website a year or so ago by SoutherNO1. Very interesting stuff and very informative. Alot of what he teaches you will see top tier hitters do but naturally. If I lived closer and could make it I would be there in a minute. People should definitely take advantage of this opportunity. He has some outstanding drills Im sure he will share as well. His website is outstanding.

Just some background on Goodfield Baseball for those of you who are wondering who's sponsoring this thing:

The first video in the series is in post-production now. As someone who has been in these practices and seen a lot of these drills actually done, this is going to be something very good for anyone interested in trying new things during baseball practice.

I've talked to Steve several times on the phone. One or two questions turned into a 1 hr. conversation. This guy loves to talk shop, and is very fluent in how the big league guys swing a bat, and how the body operates in general. Even though my son is not a hitter, we'll go just for the experience. I am really looking forward to this.

I was wanting to come home and go to it but we've got a basketball game that day so I won't be able to make it.
