The first official day of practice. Knowing you only have five days of practice before your first scrimmage. Seeing it all come together in a short period of time. Knowing that all the hard work in the off season is going to be the difference. Waiting and watching to see who is going to be the ones to step up this year and make a difference.

The Impact Classic. Getting to see some great games all at one location early in the HS season. Rocky Mount vs Ragsdale. Thats going to be a good one early. Playing Greenville Rose and RV at the Impact Classic. I hope thats a good one. Getting together with Coach Evans and the Rockets early in the year again.

Should be another exciting and fun season.

    Summy,

Great story. I'm looking forward to it too. I hope that he exceeds our expectations. This guy had a breakout year last year. Had a special season in 2006. He hasn't just recovered, he's been an anchor to a college pitching staff. Here are his numbers last year.

ERA W/L APP SV IP K's OPP BA
    3 Trey Summerlin... 3.32 3-2 34 5 40.2 39 .248

as a varsity player and a junior in high school, you have given me chills. You summed it up perfectly, I can't wait for the first day of practice and when the first game rolls around when the umpire says those first words that every player longs to hear "Play Ball." It's time to go to work!
