A good drill to stop casting

    TWO HANDED FENCE DRILL:
    1. Position yourself in a parallel stance.
    2. Reach out and touch the wall, fence, cage, etc. with your lead hand.
    3. Get into your stance, and swing the bat, trying not to hit the fence.
    4. Start this drill about ½ speed.
    5. Make sure that you do not pull your front shoulder out too soon.
    6. Remind yourself to stay closed as long as possible.
    7. Make sure that you keep the barrel of the bat above your back shoulder.
    8. Do not allow the barrel to extend away from the shoulder. If you extend the barrel out, you will hit the fence.
    9. As you start your swing forward, make sure your back foot turns and the back heel is pointing toward the sky. This will get your hips through.
    10. Keep hands close to the body.
    11. Get the knob of the bat even with the front hip before the barrel comes forward.
