Congratulations to Pirates'06!!!

    I'd like to congratulate Chris Hill (Pirates'06) to his new position as the Baseball Head Coach at Mallard Creek High School. He is getting an opportunity to build his program from the ground up.

    I hope everybody on here will join me in wishing Coach Hill the best and offer him any assistance that he may need. It's always great to add another HS coach to our board.

    Coach, when you get the chance can you tell the members your background? It will give everyone the opportunity to get to know you better.

    Yes, he does. Although he won't say this, I will. You can start with his young son, Mikal. I'm telling you, he will remind people of Justin Jackson....of course, his older brother Alex was not too bad either:43:

    Congratulations Coach Hill!

    I know this is something that you have been wanting for some time. Let me know if need some assistance from the assistant coaches box located in the home grandstands. I am extremely happy for you and your family. I know in my heart that the young men at Mallard Creek HS will benefit from your extensive experience, both as a player and coach.

    Congratulations

    Though we have only met a couple of times in passing, I have a tremendous amount of respect for your family after having watched Alex play for several years. I believe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and I applaud you for the way you and he approach the game.

    Mecklenburg county baseball has added another quality person to it's baseball coaching ranks. CONGRATULATIONS :clap::clap::clap:

    Congrats to Coach Hill

    Coach Hill has coached my son for serveral years. Mallard Creek has landed a tremendous coach. Fair, impartial, motivating, driven, caring. He's played it, taught it, and coached it. To see that this man knows baseball you don't have to look any farther than his oldest son Alex (UNC-W) who holds the single season and high school career batting average records for the state of North Carolina; or his youngest son Mikal who will be heard from soon as he begins his high school career this spring.

    The mark of a good coach is not necessarily wins and losses but rather the ability to get your players to be better than they were expected to be. I'll promise that Mallard Creek High School will be a better team at the end of the seasn than they are at the beginning due to good coaching and good attitude inspired by Coach Hill.

    Congrats and good luck Coach Hill.
