Ask the Wrights if playing in showcase leads to fast results. Billy lands another good one.

Its disputed here all the time

Constantly disputed all the time. Lets talk facts. He throws three innings for the DB's at ECU. He signs with ECU the next week.

Micheal did the work lets make no mistake about that. But someone had to give him the chance to show his stuff and do it in the right venue in front of the right people.

"If your good enough they will find you".

No. If your good enough they will want you. But you can't expect them to find you. You walk out there on that mound and you shove it in their face and show them you can do it. Your not afraid to fail because you know the only way you really fail is if your afraid of failure and never try.

Im happy for Micheal and his family.

Its funny to me but the parents of the kids that play showcase and get the opportunity to play at the next level, never dispute the value of showcase baseball. It seems to always be the people whos kids choose to not play it or are not chosen to play showcase. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Yes, things worked out very well after Michael pitched at ECU. He really felt comfortable on the ECU mound and yes the coaches really loved what they saw. It was good that he did pitch so well because now I should have both my kids at the same college for at least three years.
The ECU coaches had already been in contact with my son from previous events. They actually wanted him to come up on a visit the previous weekend but we had already scheduled another college visit. But things worked out better since he did do so well. Hopefully, he will be able to mirror those three innings at Jupiter this weekend.
Michael is very excited about being a ECU pirate!
Oh yeah, this Dirtbag team definately has the best talent on one team that I have ever seen. Very solid in the infield, outfield and hitting. Andy Partin is an outstanding person as well...I would recommend any kid that had an opportunity to play on his team to do so. He will definately have the scouts at the games. There were six to nine pro scouts at yesterday game as well as several college coaches. That was the most pro scouts that I have seen at one event since the Jr State games. My son has really enjoyed these last two weekends and can't wait until Thursday.
Yes....Showcase is the way to be seen by the right people!

Congratulations to Michael and his family. Along with being a fine ballplayer, he seems to be well mannered, humble young man that teammates like.

It sounds like Michael was seen some before he played with the DB's. How did he get noticed prior to the Impact event? It sounds like the Impact event sealed the deal for him. I don't think anyone can question AP's ability to get a kid in front of the right people. He does a good job.
