    IMO

I don't see how anybody can go after Paul Byrd for his use of HgH. From what I've seen, he took it from 2002 until 2005, with a doctor's permission. The real kicker is that he took it BEFORE it was a banned substance in the MLB. Seems like once MLB banned it, he stopped taking it.

Given these parameters, what did he do wrong?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see where anyone is slamming Paul Byrd. He used HGH. He says he needed it and it was prescribed by a doctor. And it was before it was banned. I don't see much to talk about in regards to Paul.

    Media

His name was all over the scroll bars on TV yesterday and last night for being identified as a player that had used HgH and there were several articles in the written press about it. Why would the media do that if, in their eyes, he had done nothing wrong?

I think ESPN called it the "Game 7 Controversy," but I might be wrong about the exact wording....

I believe when the Mitchell Commission releases their findings, you will see alot of Paul Byrd-like situations and the press will leave it up to public opinion to sift through the bad guys/good guys.

It's a shame what happened with Paul Byrd...the timing and the way it's been presented.

    As with any

thing. The high up you are, the easier it is to have something wrong with you to get what you want. Braves agreed, Paul is a case of got spotlighted in the wrong field at the wrong time.

More like making the story. The press is a good thing. But, think they play the word game to much.

Example 1: School bus bumps into car at stoplight.

Example 2: School bus crashes into car at intersection.

Both statements would get your attention. But which is the BIG story headline?

Was reading on the internet a story about a camera man get ran over. Should have said. Camera man gets foot ran over getting in front of moving car. Where the common sense.

Better yet, "Brittany Spears nearly kills a media acolyte, then tries to escape through a crowd"
