I am looking for teams to play in the "Battle of the Stars" at Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount in a 4 team tournament. Each team will play the other teams in round robin format and then there will be a consolation game and a championship game. 4 games for each team. The dates are Sept 29th/30th. The Southside Braves have committed. If interested please email me at [email protected] Wesleyan has a beautiful baseball complex.

I highly recommend that if you have a team that has not commited to another tournament that weekend, you need to jump at this opportunity. I have learned that anything Stretchlon is involved with will be a classy, well run tournament.

In fact, since he only has room for 3 more teams, I would call him yesterday.

    Great Fall Baseball Weekend

Congrats to the Wilson Bulldogs for going undefeated this weekend. Has anyone seen Xavier Macklin play. The kid is a player!!

The Virginia Southside Braves had two fine junior right handed pitchers both tossing complete game victories allowing only 1 run in the two games.

The Lewis boy from Duplin County is a legit hitter and 3rd baseman.

Kyle Hackney of the Pitt Prospect team had excellent hands in the infield.

Another reason this is such an outstanding board!

More kids getting their names out there. This is why I think very highly of this board. Well done.

I would like to attend one of these "showcase" types of events. Can someone direct me as to how to find some kind of schedule if such exists? Id just like get out there and see the level of talent that is there.

Again well done on the tournament.

Xavier Macklin is a senior OF at Nash Central High School. He has all the tools that Brian Goodwin from Rocky Mount has. He is a two sport guy who excels at both football & baseball. X just hasn't been on the showcase circuit to get the looks. This kid has pro potential, just needs to sharpen his skill level. On top of his athletic ability, X is a great kid. He and his teammate, Alex Pearce give Nash Central two bonafide prospects. I think Pearce may have his next level shored up, but I'll wait 'til his dad tells me for sure.

I believe most of the tournaments are winding down. You may wan t to check with impactbaseball.com to see if they are hosting one. I saw where South Charlotte Panthers are playing up in Winston Salem this weekend.

I'm sure others can post if they know of some, but after October, there are very few left (team showcases)
