    Interesting because I have to admit I thought it looked fake when it happened. My wife says I am too cynical.

    a Baltimore announcer makes the claim and you take it as gospel?

    the guy had a nine-inch sutured incision on his ankle, from a procedure done a day or two before. why would it be unreasonable for it to seep blood. The doctor who operated on schilling has already been on record saying it was blood. I think I'll take his word before taking Gary Thorne's.

    if Mirabelli did say it was paint, he was probably saying it to screw with Thorne.

    WOW, this is stupid. Anything in this day and time that happens will always be scrutinized. Barry Bonds I understand that, but why would Schilling use paint to fake it as blood. Schilling has more class than that.

    I gotta call BS on this one. Amazing how the "paint" got bigger from inning to inning.

    Next thing someone will try to convince me of is to throw away or cut up your plastic magnetic hotel keys because they have your credit card info on them.

    Anybody out there selling swamp land?

    Misunderstanding

    Apparently Gary Thorne overheard Doug Mirabelli joking around in the dugout and took it as truth; it was all a misunderstanding, and Thorne has retracted his statements and apologized. Seems like the announcer was the butt of a joke.
