Well played tournament... Southern Alamance won the tournament for the second year in a row and rolled through their games. They are a strong team that hits the ball well and have some big, athletic kids that can play. They will definitely help their varsity team down the road...

Thanks to the teams that participated and thanks to the parents who helped. A special thanks to Golden Corral in Roxboro for sponsoring the tournament this year. The bitter cold hurt attendance a bit and the snow on the ground on Saturday (yes we had snow on the ground, a dusting, but snow nontheless) was a sight, but it was a good tournament.

Hey Coach, I believe Orange won the tournament last year, but you are right that is two years in a row that Southern Alamance has looked very strong. The games that I saw on Friday were very well played games. I did not see the SA vs. ND game on Friday.
This tournament is great for JV baseball and the crowds are usually pretty big. I know the weather kept some people from coming out.

We played Southern Alamance JV and we saw 1st hand how good they are. It took us 10 innings to get away with a win. They hustled and played with enthusiasm. They earned our respect, that's for sure. Fortunately we should play them again over the next few years and it will make both teams better.
