Heard this discussed. This is the "required" HS pre-season contract signing where players, parents, & coaches fill out papers agreeing to the various team rules, expectations, do's and don'ts, etc...........
Apparently it was a low percent turnout of parents that night and a parent was suggesting that there should be a mandatory attendance "rule" at this meeting or players sit a game or 2.

what 'cha think of that one?

preseason contract must be signed by a parent in front of a coach or they cannot play, at least in my school.

we have a parent meeting the first practice day after team is picked. they have until the end of the week to sign, most parents pick up their kids from practice, so it works out well.

    It Varies....

We have a parent meeting, booster club does their thing.

But we ask the parents to come, if they can't, we have them sign the sheet, and the players have a seperate one, first day of practice.

Most important "don't" on the page.., don't cuss the )*&^^%&* Italian Looking JV coach.
