Wondered the same thing, but watching him play, my guess would be fluid and graceful.

I believe this refers to Latin American style of infield play. Which is hard charging and quick feet. They do not sit back on the ground balls. They charge every ball and they play the short hop. The only reference I have to this is this is how my son's high school coach taught him to play shortstop. His coach came from the west coast and played at Cal Poly.
We went to the NC State-UCLA games that were played at State with him. His college infield coach at Cal Poly now coaches at UCLA. He wanted my son to watch how their shortstop (freshman) played the position. He and his old college coach both refered to this as a west coast style of play.

The young man were talking about is Garrison Lassiter 08 SS. This kid can flat out play. He is smooth and has a great arm. He makes the routine play routinely and makes outstanding plays look routine. And the fact he hits from the left side , uses the whole field , and hits for power and average to all fields doesn't hurt either. This kid has a very bright future. Not a bad left side to an infield with Holt at 3b and Lassiter at SS. Not bad at all!
