Southern football coach still in critical condition
12:15 p.m. - Southern Alamance High School varsity football coach Tony Perrou remains in critical condition at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, according to Alamance-Burlington School System spokeswoman Libby Cheek. Perrou was involved in a motor vehicle accident early Tuesday evening. North Carolina Highway Patrol officers said Perrou was found unconscious at the scene and received "pretty severe head injuries." The accident happened near Exit 147 on I-85/40. Cheek said school officials have not decided whether to cancel Friday's scheduled game against Oxford Webb. Updates will be posted when they become available. Coach Perrou has passed away.

Very very sad. He always has had competetive teams. Ragsdale played them in back to back years.

prayers and codolences to his family.

I graduated from Southern Alamance and was on the football team in 2001. He was a great man and will be missed. I just saw him a month or two ago, and he never forgot a former player's face or name..

    sad..sad..sad

So tragic, those who are of great influence leave too soon.

This guys mother-in-law works with me in Black Mountain. Perrou married an Asheville girl. They have a young daughter too, not sure how old she is.
