Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
Well, this may be a first, three teams at 5-0 and one at 4-0 as we head to conference play. I don't know if that has ever happened if it has it hasn't been since ACR has been in the conference. I think it's great to see all these teams playing well. Now as conference play starts it's time to seperate the men from the boys as they say. Let's get some thoughts out there on the play of the teams and what will happen this coming week. Should be an exciting next couple months!

East Burke (2-3) at AC Reynolds (5-0)
McDowell (2-2) at Alexander Central (4-0)
South Caldwell (5-0) at Watauga (5-0)
    Asheville (1-2) at Freedom (0-3)

Two of the three conference games should be good games. South Caldwell/Watauga is pretty much a coin flip. I still think Watauga hasn't played anybody and that may show this week.

I feel like McDowell/Alexander Central has the potential of being a very good game. Central's defense is tough, especially the defensive line. But on the other hand, I don't think Central's D has seen the type of runner that McDowell has in Terrance Kincaid. So far this season, the only thing that has stopped "Buggy" has been fatigue. Here's to the hope that Buggy dosen't wear out half way through the game. Also for Central, there has to be some concern for the lack of offense so far this season. McDowell's defense, while not top-knotch is an improved defense.

As for Reynolds/East Burke...not much to say there. Good luck Cavs.

What....does no one even have any thoughts about the Freedom/Asheville game? I have to think that will be quite interesting. I don't think Freedom is near as bad as everyone is saying and as bad as their record says. They played TCR down to the final gun and that is no easy task! Put any team in this conference (outside of ACR) against their schedule and they would be looking at that same record I have to believe. The Asheville game should be a real interesting matchup as I don't think Asheville is quite as good as TCR so Freedom just might get one. What do ya'll think?
As for the other games. I am not yet sure about Watauga however looking at common opponents they have defeated all of them worse then South so they might be for real who knows.
McDowell might suprise Alexander if the Cougars can't find a way to score more then they have so far. Man to struggle like that against a 1A team doesn't look good. Also MdDowell is needing some wins to make the playoffs, so this could be a step for them in the right direction after a horrible loss last time out.
As for my guys, I have to think the Rockets will be able to shut down EB and come away with another blow out. Having give up ONLY 83 rushing yards in 5 games makes me think teams better start trying to pass more!

Should be fun and exciting lets get some more thoughts!
