    Ragsdale 40
    Grimsley 20

what a great game. Grimsley was the first team to score on them this yearand actually took a 20 to 8 lead scoring with two seconds before the half. Grimsley JV looks a lot like the varsity - big O Line - smash mouth up the middle.

But Ragsdale came out and played big in the second half - forced a fumble on Grimsley's opening posession recovered by Daniel McNeil. Next play Charles Thomasson took it in from 25 yards to cut the score to 20-14. Grimsley never could move the ball in the second half and Ragsdale tied it up at 20 on a 65 yard interception return by Nick Mearite.

Fourth quarter moved fast and with a little over 3 minutes left Ragsdale was looking to get the ball back for one last drive - instead a big hit on the QB forced a fumble and McNeil scooped it up and ran it in for the go ahead score.

From there it was more defense - Alex Walters intercepted a 4th down pass with a little over a minute left and Thomasson scored again from 3 yards out for a 34-20 lead. On the final play of the game, Jerome Monroe intercepted one last pass and weaved his way all the way down field and scored for the 40-20 final.

I hope the varsity game is as good tomorrow - and the outcome is the same
