What a classy and well deserved honor given by Western Carolina to a man who's given so much to the game he loved.

Did his condition allow him to attend, RC?

    Simultaneously sad and wonderful.

i was lucky enough to coach keith when he was at western. what a class person. everything said about keith, the work ethic, team player etc. is the truth. he was a great player and person. not to mention he turned out to be a great coach. my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. i was fortunate enough to get up there for the ceremony, a touching event. what made it so special was the fact that coach leggett was there.

i am from greenville and have been going to ecu baseball games for awhile now. i remember when coach leclair first started to get sick and had to watch the games from a van off the field. we were in kinston for the conference usa championship and we beat houston. coach leclair was in his van down by the bull pen. after a short celebration on the field by the players they all ran down to the van and some dumped a gatorade cooler on the van, as is the tradtion now. then one of the players got a sign from a fan that said "keith" on it. the enitre crowd chanted his name for at least 5 minutes. i will never forget that. he did a lot for ECU and so many great stories could be told about him. he was a great coach and he is an even better person. we could ALL learn something from keith leclair.
