    Abbey directions

Enter the main entrance of the college which is right in front of the college church. Take a right at the stop sign and just follow the road and it runs right to the softball complex. There is plenty of parking right by the fields. Look forward to seeing U there.

    Profiles

Thanks to some great people I work with the profiles are done and look awesome. I e-mailed every profile to over 60 college coaches from all over the SE yesterday. All players attending will get exposure beyond the coaches that attend the showcase. Your profiles went to schools like NC State, UNC, UCF, Fla State, Va Tech, Ga Tech, Auburn, Tenn, Kentucky, Elon, UNC-W, Fla Atlantic, Florida, Mars Hill, Gardner-Webb, Georgetown, Queens, St Andrews, Limestone, Erskine, USC-Upstate, USC, Andersen, Catawba, UNC-G, and UNCC just to name a few.

Furman, Wingate, Queens, Presbyterian, St Andrews, Belmont Abbey are confirmed for the showcase day and many more have said they will try to send an assistant since they are deep into practice for their season that starts next weekend. The weather is supposed to be good, 60 degrees and partly sunny. We will have a great time with this developmental clinic for future college stars. Look forward to meeting many new softball friends. Congratulations for making this happen. It amazes me when I hear parents say, "How can I get my daughter seen? Coaches never come into our area"...yet don't sign up for these type events. It is affordable, effective and fun.

Obviously, it will be a great weekend..you already have the softball gods favor you with great weather :D

Keep us posted on how it goes

    Thanks

Thanks my friend! I think some parents are just not aware of what it takes to get a kid seen by college coaches especially if U do not play the Showcase circuit or Nationals. These Showcase Days are extremely popular in the west and most have in excess of 100 kids. They charge $250 and run kids through like cattle.

Good turnout of campers at BAC Saturday. I was a little disapointed in the number of college coaches that showed up. Coach Swanson and everyone involved did a great job. I'm sure the young ladies that attended picked up some things that will help them in their season ahead, and better prepare them for playing at the next level. Good luck to all in the upcoming softball season.

this was our first time being involved in something like this but i have to say rodney and his crew were informative and helpful. all the young ladies were respectful and carried themselves with dignity. a special shout out to morgan peeler who my dd and myself had heard of but never met. my dd got paired with her alot and she said she was cool to hang around with. even though the turnout was not great as a first experience for us it was very good especially for me since i have a talented 13 year old pitcher coming after my talented 15 year old catcher. yes i'm biased and proud of it. :ylsuper: again thanks to rodney and all their crew and the abbey girls for all their hard work.

    Thanks

I would personally like to thank everyone who came out to the show case yesterday. The player's who worked hard all day long. I was really impressed with the player's as they did not limit themselves on which position they played. Keep working hard. To the parent's thank you for bringing your dd's out on a wonderful day and spending it on our campus here at Belmont Abbey.

To all the Abbey parent's who worked so hard in making this a quality day for the kid's. Our program would suffer without your support. A special thank you to the player's at Belmont Abbey.

If anyone has a chance to came out and play, please stop by and say hello.

Opening day 6 days and counting down.

    Coach Swanson
