That is just an excuse there touchemall!!!!!!! LOL!!!!! J/K. I know that if Coach Grayson can get an open date she will do her best to play this game.

One thing that works against all teams in NC is the fact that they can only play so many games per week & per season. WHICH IS A CROCK OF CRAP.

Pretty much everything the NCHSAA does is a Crock of crap. Insiead of worring about All-State teams and such the new coaches association should be trying to get things like the stupid dead periods in August when school is not even in session and the low number of games per year changed

Dead periods are in part to let the current season coaches get started. As I understand it no coach can coach their player in that sport during the period. I think that is only fair. Why should one sport suffer while another moves futher ahead. No one is saying the girls can't play softball on travel teams, their high scholl coach simple cannot coach them for one month. Is that to much to ask, I think not.Anyway back to the topic at hand, CC vs KM. Let's get it on. I would love to see these coaches go at it again.

    I've seen it before.

    Sherrill 25 Grayson 0

It was so bad one year that CFBall himself said that Grayson was beat before she crossed the Catawaba River when she coached Crest and Sherrill coached AC.
Okay, it was on a different site and he was know by crestsoftball but he said it.

Do you really think that this would happen again? I think that this KM team is a little better than the Crest team was!

thats correct..... definitely a few years ago and a different site.

i do however think Coach Grayson has learned alot about FP softball since those days. She learned the game, without playing it and that says alot about her work, dedication and committment for the sport. I think we all have come along ways since those old NW4A conference beginning days(1996);from the players, coaches, parents and fans to the present, having our NC players being recuritted to in and out of state colleges and universities! Boy.....10 years have flown by and its nice to have two coaches who have been at it contiunally since its beginning; winning state championship at their respective school now, very well could win many more BUT more importantly, they are teaching and guiding the next generation of female student/athletes. I am thankful, as are many others around the state are for what each has done for Fastpitch Softball in NC over the last 10 years. Both will tell you, that its not about THEM, its about TEAM!!

as for the KM/Crest comparsion.....player for player, position for position IMO...about the same; quality pitching, hitters one thru nine, speed and defense but it is what it is ....my opinion.

Diffirent TEAM! This team would be tickled to death to try and make it 25-1 against Coach Sherrill. K.M. is just glad the players have to play and not the coaches. Coach Grayson is a great coach . People would not believe what she does for these kids. She,s like a 2nd parent. After school study hall and practice until 7:00. She makes sure her players are good students, citizens and athletes. She gets total RESPECT from her players and the community. I think Coach Sherrill is a great Coach, but I also know that he inherited a pretty good team at CC. As the old saying goes, What would Phil Jackson have done without Micheal Jordan.

    Coaches

Both these coaches do a great job, even with great talent U have to mold it into a team and they have to have the desire to win. Both these coaches have perfected that aspect. Would be a great game for all fans. True statement concerning Central they have had a winning program for many years under several different coaches because of the great talent and parent support in that area. KM has not always had great teams but certainly do have one now. Great job to Coach Monte and Coach Grayson, U certainly got the best out of your players. Very good chance of a repeat.

It should be a great match-up and the only thing holding it back is finding a date, but I am sure that will happen.

Sounds like all the people want to talk about is the coaches, but as i look back coach Monte or coach Grayson did not record an out, get a hit, or make one single pitch. Two great teams, that may well very be the two best teams in the STATE. Both teams have great talent and both have great parent support. It will be a great game for the girls and for the fans. Make it happen coaches, so all the people that is worried about a game during the season should concentrate mainly on the most important three games which would hopefully be the last three games that count the most, if your fortunate enough to play the last three games in Raleigh.
