What is the Post make-up of Charlotte Legion teams in south Charlotte? At one time there was Newell, Matthews, Pineville, and Charlotte. Then there was Pineville and Charlotte (the year Pineville made a run at Cherryville I think). Then maybe Newell came back last year. This year? I am hearing there may be a Matthews Post? If anybody has insight or color or facts, I'd like to hear it. And, the all important boundry lines. Boy I'm asking a lot! thanks

    Wow!

Nobody knows or cares about Legion baseball in Charlotte. That is very sad indeed.

AtlWood, Pineville has been the best legion team in Charlotte the past 2 years,,,,, by far. It was 2 years ago that Pineville played Cherryville tough, and then last season Pineville made it to the Area 4 finals losing to eventual state runnerup Caldwell County. I'm not from Charlotte so I can't answer your specific questions about legion boundaries in Mecklenburg County. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Pineville legion team had their own website in the past, maybe you can look it up and find a contact person. Otherwise, maybe one of those fine folks will give you some answers soon. I guess folks are still concentrating on the high school season right now.

Braves, can you help this guy out any?

    Pineville Post 337 website

    http://eteamz.active.com/pineville337/

the schedule is there but no games vs a Newell Post or Matthews Post so I guess the boundries are the same as the past few years: basically inside Hwy 51 and to the Pineville side of US-74 is the Charlotte Post; south of Hwy 51 and to the Pineville side of US-74 is the Pineville Post; while the Mint Hill side of US-74 is/was Newell. I'd be interested in hearing if there is a Newell Post which could be made up of Indy and Butler players.

    Newell Post

There is no Newell Post this year. Most of the Butler players will be with Pineville while the boundary splits Independence between the Pineville Post and the Charlotte Post. A few of the players from Independence will be trying out for the Pineville team. I'm not sure if there are any trying out for the Charlotte team.
