I found this to be pretty incredible. Any other teams doing this well?

    Amazing Lumberton Statistic
By my calculation, Lumberton has given up a total of 46 runs in their 22 games, an average of 2.09 runs per game. They have given up two or fewer runs in 17 of 22 games. Three or fewer in 20 of 22 games. Any questions as to why they are #1 in the state?

I believe Providence has given up only 44 runs in 23 games (check me on that g'backs), including only 8 runs in their last 9 games. And I'll bet North Meck isn't far behind, how about it Pops?

44 in 22 games for North. My stat sheet has Providence with 46 in 23 games. I would bet that Wakefield is even more impressive this year.

Dodger Blues as Always is Right On

The Panthers have given up 44 runs this year in 23 games. They gave up 13 in their 14 SW4A games, with South Meck scoring 7 of those (in 18 innings). On the flip side, PHS has scored 173 runs overall and 100 in the SW4A. Besselievre and Hendel have a combined ERA of ~ 1.00. The DEFENSE behind them has been pretty strong as well, except for last night v South Meck. We made 5 errors- two very costly ones in the 8th inning.

    :agreed:

    South Meck - 41 runs in 23 games...and that's with a 10 run blow out with Butler.

I would bet that Independence and Central Cabarrus are also both very close to the same results.

Quite honestly, I am not impressed with many HS stats. They are always subjected to creative score keeping. I remember a couple of years ago, I saw a kid hit a flyball to CF and the CF'r was camped under it, but dropped it. The batter was awarded a double. Of course.....the dad was the scorekeeper. Plus, quality of competition changes from year to year and conference to conference. The only stat that matters is wins.
