    In no particular order .... games that will have an impact on the playoffs that are scheduled for today:

    ACHS vs South Caldwell. ACHS has the Conf title, but this one should still be fun.

    NW Cabarrus vs AL Brown. Winner take all situation. West Rowan could swing from 2nd to 3rd based on the results of this game.

    North Meck vs Central Cabarrus. Is the Meca 8 going to end up with a 4-way tie at the top or is North going to push Central down to a 4th place finish in the conference?

    Providence vs South Meck. Nothing but pride on the line .... but that's important too. This one should be intense as South Meck tries to position themselves for a post-season run.

    TC Roberson vs Franklin. Winner gets #1 in the MAC. This ought to be really fun too.

    Decisions, decisions

    Tough call for me on which one to go watch tonight, Pops. I assume the probable pitchers in the SW4A match-up are Besselievre for Providence against Morris for South (although Besselievre did pitch in relief on Tuesday). Who are the probable starters in the North vs. Central game tonight?

    This game is tonight (5/6) and is a BIG game even though ACHS has clinched #1.
    SC must win to insure a trip to the state playoffs, but will have to do it without Madison Bumgarner on the mound. He pitched 9 innings vs. AC on tuesday.
    Since ACHS has a first round bye, they will probably throw Corbett.
    Biggest rivalry in the NW4A with bragging rights on the line.

    Franklin vs TC Roberson

    This game is for the MAC title and home field advantage through the 1st three rounds of the playoffs. The rematch is at TCR on Tuesday at 4:30.

    In the first game Ben Savaiko dominated the Rams with a complete game one hitter, and the Panters collected 14 hits as they rolled to a 10-0 victory. This time around Roberson ace Josh Thrailkill should be on the mound against Savaiko. It should be one of the better pitching matchups of the season. Franklin will also have Sr. LHP Jared Crawford rested and available. Roberson can counter with Sr. RHP Seth Laughter, if needed.

    The big question is can Franklin throttle the Rams high powered offense twice in the same season. TCR has averaged a little over 11 runs per game this year. Cameron Maybin comes into the game with 15 HR's, Wes Williams has 8, Justin Jackson has 5 and John Ramsey has 4.

    Should be a great game!

    WNCBB you better tell em to have a lot of hot dogs cooked for this one. Should be a huge crowd.

    The SWFH tourney should be fun.

    If the seeds hold, the semi-finals will be

    Kings Mountain vs Burns
    Hickory vs Crest

    Those games will take place at Crest on Tuesday.

    To get to that point, KM must defeat St Stephens, Burns defeat Foard, Crest defeat RS Central. Hickory has a first round bye.
