    Who has beat them. I thought they had 3 losses? Anyone besides:

    Anson beat them 4-2 earlier this week.

    Thanks... I just read that in the Monroe paper but I thought they had lost three before the loss to Anson? Was the Anson losses their fourth or third?

    Piedmont baseball brings some on top

    Piedmont's baseball team is producing some of those coming on top of their high school career- Danny Herman, Dallas Tarleton (LR), Rob Lyerly, Timmy King- and a few others..

    on another note NCPREPS.COM has the latest baseball statistics up- it's a great resource to see some rankings- if rankings matter to you. Timmy King is leading the state in ERA - 0.35, 2nd in WINS - 7, and fifth in STRIKEOUTS - 76

    of course cameron maybin is coming out on top of a ton of polls, but i failed to see Nate Cockman on there- the kid is leading the state with 12 homeruns, but NCPREPS.COM has maybin leading with 9- so if anyone is around the area, they should e-mail the latest information on the Northeast Guilford Junoir catcher, Nate Cockman

    The one additional player I would mention for Piedmont is senior Bryan Parker. He has been the #2 pitcher all year with a ERA of less than 1.50. He also had a huge HR against Sun Valley to give Piedmont a big win this week. He has also played a steady 2nd base when either King or Lyerly are pitching.

    i agree

    stumpman is definitely right- bryan parker really has stepped it up alot this year. he gets it done on the mound, he's hitting VERY well right now, and he provides a solid glove at 2nd.

    looking good

    it sounds good to have some of the piedmont kid's getting their names out there. the team is looking great this year, ranked in state and showing a good determination. with some of the power coming whitin the lineup, and a good seed- piedmont could make it deep into the 3a state playoffs? any thoughts anyone?
