    Final from the Intimidator Classic:
NW Cabarrus 7 Central Cabarrus 6 (8 innings)

In the bottom of the 7th, with two outs, two strikes, bases empty, and a 6 -1 lead, Central Cabarrus starting pitcher Zack Parmer was working on what should have been a no-hitter (Jake Faggart hit a double that got lost in the fog in the 6th) when:
Connor Bean ripped a single up the middle.
Then, Jake Faggart made it safely to first on a throwing error.
Bret Honeycutt walked to load the bases.
    Kyle Seager rips a 3 RBI double, SCORE: 6 - 4
    Jerrod Faggart hits a single
Blake Ketner rips a 2 RBI double to tie the game, 6-6

In the home half of the eighth, Kyle Seager completes the amazing comeback with a 2-out bases loaded double to win the game and complete the Trojans' amazing comeback.

Joe Kent scattered 3 hits over the last 3 innings to pick up the win and was helped by Jake Faggart who made a terrific centerfield catch and threw an absolute strike to second base to complete a double play and end an 8th inning Central Cabarrus scoring threat.

    HITTING:
    NW:
    Kyle Seager: 2-5, 2B, 5 RBI
    Jake Faggart: 1-5, 2B
    Jerrod Faggart: 2-4
    Blake Ketner: 1-4, 2B, 2 RBI

    CC:
    Ryan Laboy: 4-4, 2B, (2) 3B, 2 runs scored

NEXT UP: NW Cabarrus (9-1) plays the winner of Friday's 10:00 am game between Providence and Mt.Pleasant at 7:00pm Saturday.

Looks like you guys have the team to beat in the NPC this year, maybe looking to make a good run in the 3A playoffs as well.

I dunno. West Rowan looks pretty tough. So does A.L.Brown when Garrett Sherrill is pitching. Then there's this team from Mooresville who's been quietly piling up wins.......

The next two games (Providence and South Rowan) should show what the Trojans are made of.
