Got out to see Elon play Wofford yesterday. Sun was shining, nice crowd, players were pumped. Nothing like the sound of the ball in the mitt. New season, high expectations. Elon really looked good. Rembert, Stocco, and Price can really hit. Morris was at 2b, Davis at 3rd. transfer from Carolina at short. Last years shortstop moved to center.Shortstops name was Weaver anyone know him? Saturday freshmen Lewter and Basham made their first college appearances and both did well. Coach Kennedy should be excited his team looked very good. Anyone else out there see any games?

Spend all day on friday driving, starting about 9 AM and getting home about 8PM. Just couldn't find time this weekend after being gone for two weeks to make it to a game.

I'm very envious. It looks like Elon was smacking the ball around very well. If the young members of that pitching staff come along, they could give other teams a fit in the SoCon. They smacked out 35 hits and 42 runs over the 3 game set this weekend. The younsters all pitched well. We still haven't seen much of the pitcher who transfered in from Univ. of Miami over the winter, red-shirt freshman Pedro Lopez.

College of Charleston is ranked #25 by CollegeBaseballInsider. Right now, that's looking to be a great early March series.

The shortstop is Adam Weaver from Rocky Mount. His dad was the coach at RM for years, and decided to step down so he could watch more of Adam's college games. I wish he had stayed at UNC, I think he would have seen significant playing time last year. What do you know about the transfer that UNC picked up from Elon, Chris Kahler?

Chris Kahler did not make the all-conference team in 2003.
